Not Sure

I’m not sure what to write about today.  So I’m going to write about not sure.  There are so many things in life we are not sure of.  Of course there are those things we are sure about also.

We are sure the sun will rise tomorrow & set tonight.  That winter will soon be over.  I’m not sure on that one.  It’s supposed to get down below freezing tonight & close to it tomorrow night.  But I sure do hope that winter will soon be over.

We are not sure if we are raising our kid’s right.  We just know we don’t want to become our parents & start saying what they used to say to us when we did something wrong.  Guess what though most of us still become our parents.

Not sure if we are going to get that promotion at work or not.  Not sure if we will have that same job tomorrow, this economy is ruff right now.  For the ones that have it the worst, not sure where supper will come from tonight.

We’re not sure if we can afford to get the kid’s that pet we promised them they can have.  Not sure if what’s going on at home is affecting their grades in school.  Not sure what’s really goes on at school, because they won’t really talk about it.

There are so very many things in this life that we are so not sure about.  Too many to worry about them all.

Not sure what tomorrow will hold, but hopefully I will come up with something to write about.:)

Wrong Again

I’m sure it’s happened to you, you go to a restaurant order your food they bring out what you ordered & it’s wrong.  The steak was supposed to be well done & instead it’s still mooing at you or you ordered your burger plain with just cheese & it comes out with the works.   Your order’s wrong again.

How often does this happen to you & how mad do you get?  I live in a small town & we don’t really like going out to eat steak, but we order from the fast food places sometimes.  My husband is a guy that likes his food plan with cheese.  Cheese to him makes everything better. LOL  But it seems like every time we go out to eat or he goes out on his lunch break to eat the order is wrong again.

One of the local fast food places used to cook the fries for us well done.  Last time my husband went to this place on his lunch break they said we can’t cook the fries extra any longer.  He’s like well then just cancel the whole order.  What happened to customer service?  Places no longer care about making the customer happy only what will make them a buck in the long run.  Well this is the wrong way to run a business if you want to keep us as customers.   So a couple of weeks go by & he thought well I’ll go get me a plain bacon cheese burger with no fries.  They can’t mess that up, wrong again.  They left the bacon off of a plain bacon cheese burger!  How does that happen, I mean it’s a menu item & they still got it wrong.  Man was my husband mad & since he was on his thirty minute lunch break he didn’t have time to redo it & was to mad about it to go say anything either.  Now you have to know my husband, he doesn’t really have a temper & it usually takes a lot to make him steaming mad.  But getting his food order wrong, now that the one thing that will take him from calm to steaming mad in two seconds flat.

Pizza is another we order & half the time they get it wrong again.  See we order it with easy, easy, easy sauce we even tell the person taking the order.  If you don’t put it down three times they will not do easy sauce.  So we go to pick up the order & yep wrong again.  It’s covered in sauce or the new crust with all the garlic.  We ask to not have the garlic put on it.  They say alright, we go to pick it up.  Yep wrong again.  I can smell the garlic before even opening the box.

I guess we shouldn’t be as picky about our food then maybe it wouldn’t always be wrong again.  But when your husband has heartburn, then eating food plain is the only way to keep from getting the heartburn.  Then you have to be a little picky.  Sometimes you just want to eat out & not have to cook, yet they get the order wrong again.  Then you wished you would have just stayed at home & cooked anyway.   I’m almost always the one that has to say something about the food being wrong also.  It gets tiresome waiting on your food to be cooked twice because they got the order wrong again.  Plus if you’re eating in you have to smell all the good food & get even hungrier while waiting on your order for the second time.

So what about you?  Are you one of those that will complain when your order is wrong or do you just take the order how it is & say nothing.

Two Ships Passing in the Night

Two Ships Passing in the Night, have you ever heard that saying?  I have heard it while growing up.  But until yesterday I hadn’t gave that much saying much thought.

I have to go back to last week to really explain.  I’m not going to go into real detail but I will cover the basics.  Almost every day last week my husband had something he needed to do.  So between work & running errands, we were like two ships passing in the night.  I mean I was working online, which has given me true Freedom from having a boss.  But between trying to get some work done, my husband working his 9-5 JOB & running his errands he had to do.  We where two ships passing in the night.

He had to work Saturday, so again we where two ships passing in the night.  Cause we didn’t really have much time to spend together because of work & more errands.

I thought for sure this week would be better & we would to spend some time together.  But guess what we both had even more errands to run than we had last week.  So again for most of this week we have been two ships passing in the night.  My husband didn’t have to work this weekend, but I have a 90th Birth Day party to attend today.  So again we are like two ships passing in the night, over the weekend.

You know I guess the saying “Two Ships Passing in the Night” does have some true meaning, but I’m not sure what that is.  I think it means that two people are passing one another & never know the other is there.  I do think I will look it up while I’m writing this & see what the internet say’s about the saying two ships passing in the night.

So knowyourphrase.com say’s  Meaning:   Commonly said about tow people who meet for a short time, share a few words, only to separate and continue on their way, never to see each other again.
Origin:  The ocean is a big place, so what are the odds of two ships sailing directly past each other?  I have no idea, but it’s probably not very high.. etc. etc.  I suppose if you’d like to read the rest you can go to the website & finish reading. LOL

So what about you?  Do you get those days or weeks where it feels like you & your spouse are just two ships passing in the night.  I’m hoping for a much better next week, I’m not sure if I can take much more of two ships passing in the night.  Of course we still love each other very much, but when we have had a chance to sit talk, it seems like so much has went on since the last time we talked.  That we aren’t able to get everything out we wanted to say to one another.
